There's a very clever photographer living at our place, and a very photogenic young man also in residence. The young sitter had his portrait taken by the clever photographer, and the portrait subsequently entered into the National Portrait Prize. The portrait, 'Emmanuel at Bedtime', was one of 46 shortlisted from a field of 1500, and featured on the cover of the catalogue for the show, on the launch invitation, and in various publicity shots with the The Australian,The Age and The ABC to name a few.
Suffice to say, we are very proud of both photographer George and son Emmanuel here.
If you want to catch the exhibition of all 46 photographs, it's showing in Canberra until 20 May, and will then be travelling to various destinations nationally. More information is available on the National Portrait Gallery website.
