What a neglectful mother I am: The Tribal Tomato had it's first birthday today, and I almost missed it. After reading over the first heady blog, I thought it might be timely to point out my favourite ten entries:
- Making passata
- Dying eggs and what to do with the leftover chocolate ones
- Making pasta, now war
- Cubby houses and sentimental children
- My grandparents' village home
- The death of our washing machine
- Recipe for a pie fight
- My guilty fetish for Zumba
- Ten saucy shared food experiences for the bedroom
- Olives on the window sill
Thank you to all who have supported the blog (I know you are reading by the 5000 pageviews clocked up on my stats page, even if you don't always 'out' yourselves!), for your comments here and on Facebook, and for indulging my passion for all things food, family and connection. Looking forward to the next year and beyond!
Am loving your stories Spiri...Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings so freely. I particularly love you reminding us all about the importance food plays in the connection between family & friends...there is nothing better than sitting at the table with loved ones sharing a long slow meal.

Thanks Lyn for your comments and enthusiasm for my blog - appears you might be my first New Zealand reader! Cheers, Spiri.
